Description You guys have no idea how nuts I went when I saw this. It was parked at a Starbucks in Cary, and the owner was having a cup of coffee with the owner of a new Ferrari F12. This has been running around the Raleigh area for a few months now, and I'm glad I finally saw it in the wild!!! The weird thing is, before yesterday, I had only seen one SLS in the wild. I saw two yesterday (the other was a convertible). Feedback is much appreciated : )
There are a few in this spec, but I don't know where it ended up. Might still be here in the Raleigh area, as I've seen pics of a Black Series in matte grey running around fairly recently.
As far as I know, there is a matte silver one in Raleigh that may or may not be this same car. A few years passed between the time this was sold and the time the Raleigh one was first seen around, so who knows.
These are almost impossible to spot now, but good to hear that the guy in your area actually drives his! Hope you spot it! I was incredibly lucky to spot this when I did, as the owner only drove it to car shows and things like that. This was probably one of the few times he drove it outside of a show or event.
I know that the owner listed it for sale several years back, but I don't know who ended up buying it (assuming it did change hands). There is a matte silver SLS AMG Black Series in the same spec owned by someone in Raleigh who also has an Aventador Roadster, so it may have stayed in the area.
Where in Cary? Near downtown isn't very high end, but there are a couple pockets at the edge of Cary that are ridiculously wealthy. This was at the Arboretum Plaza off of Harrison Ave near I-40. Other than the F12 that was also in the parking lot, I've seen a GranTurismo Sport in the plaza and a couple of Corvettes, F-Types, and the like.
